Just a quick video to ask for your guys' help! We're thinking of putting together a free course about how to create RV Travel Day/Safety Checklists. We did a video about our checklists earlier this year and people seemed really interested in making their own. If you have a Safety Checklist or Moving Day Checklist you use in your rig, we would love to see it! If you are willing to let us use it (and cite you of course) please send it to [email protected] . Thanks, guys!

Greetings from Wisconsin! Do you think you will ever go over how you saved for your retirement and share abit with your viewers? Steve, I listened to your interview with The Universe Guru and found it very interesting. Thank you for your videos on youtube.
We are going to do a brief video on that at the end of this financial series. If there is more interest we might go into more. If you are interested you should definitely check out Steve’s blog http://www.thinksaveretire.com where he chronicled our whole early retirement journey!
Totally off subject… but it looked like Courtney had a rash on her neck in the last video and Steve has one in this one. Did you guys get into some poison ivy?
No rashes here…maybe lighting or sun? We both had slit burns for a while..
I don’t own an RV, but when I watch videos with RVs that have slides, I am always nervous that a child will hit their head on the sharp edge of an extended slide. I noticed in one video that the parents had placed ‘pool noodles’ around the extended edges. That seemed so much safer.
Yup we see a lot of pool noodles on slides and awnings!
Another great video! You both are wonderful folks! We do not RV yet. Maybe in our future. You should get alot of good checklists from others though. Make it a great weekend!♡
Great videos; what TPMS and Air Compressors brands and models do you use
I use an iOS app on my iPhone/iPad called RV Checklist (Picture of class A with checkmark) Very comprehensive and customizable!
Ooo good to know! We’ll check it out.
Excellent idea and timely for us as we will get our new Airstream Classic in the spring and will definitely have to be creating lists! Thanks.
A suggestion…please note which tasks are mandatory … ALWAYS do XYZ (always tighten lug nuts). Sometimes you have to leave or set up faster than usual. Other tasks are really-nice-to-do-but-not-critical. Looking forward to your class.
Great suggestion! We will try to specify mandatory vs not!
Interesting! I took your checklist and modified it to suit our needs. However I will send it to you.
Just one note though….I have our checksheets in sheet protectors, keeping them behind the passenger seat. That way I can make changes as I use it and they are really handy there.
Also have made a label for the TPMS with truck PSI and Airstream PSI. I don’t have to ask Les all the time what the pressure is supposed to be.
Great suggestions!
We rarely put down the stabilizer, but when we do, we remove the fuse from the jack so that we won’t move the jack up or down by mistake while stabilizer is down.
Great tip!
My wife and I are huge list makers. Life gets complicated and hectic and having lists is a simple way to save your brain from being overrun with things to remember.
On the other hand, I would hope that full-time RV living could be less hectic than the way my working and living in the big city life is now!
It is less hectic but there are certain things you don’t want to get distracted and forget 🙂 I love lists so I’m right there with you!
Do not have a checklist but very interested in a checklist for a class C… Great Idea Thank you
Hi Guys! Great tool, we call ours the Pre-Flight checklist, and it is ESSENTIAL. No matter how “routine” your routine becomes we still find ourselves forgetting this or that… sometimes BIG, IMPORTANT things. Sometimes it’s “I thought YOU did that…” Our list is 20 years in the making, well used and gives untold peace of mind when we haul. If it’s checked off, we’re good to go. I have emailed you a link to my blog post about it. Great idea!
Thanks so much for emailing us! We definitely know what you mean about routine. It’s once you feel comfortable that you have to worry about making a mistake but the checklist solves that!
What a great idea!!
