What's involved in the breakdown and setup of a very large fifth wheel toy hauler? Quite a bit actually.

We've got it pretty well down since we move every 10 days or so! Camp breakdown and preparing to move is the most involved and most important (versus setting up camp). If we forget to tie something down or secure something, it can be disastrous. When on the move, we are 15 TONS of rig going 65mph, so everything has to be in the right place. Hydraulic slides will crush things with ease. So, the name of the game is CHECKLISTS!
Setting up camp is also fairly involved but once the rig is leveled, connected, and the slides are out, setup is much more leisurely than breakdown. We can set up and unload the motorcycle, etc. as time, weather, etc permits.
This video will show you everything involved in our typical move day. Yes, we know it's a LONG video. But it is a long process, so we condensed it as much as we could.

At 13:57ish sweep off crap/¿poop?
We pumped our gray tanks on my submarines and blew any black tanks and bomb the bottom of the ocean with trash usually around 0000hrs when we are at periscope depth. It takes quite a while for the trash to hit the bottom when we were near Guam.
You have a lot more water clean, gray & black on your rig than my 24’ 5th wheel
Thanx lovin’ your videos from Krapramento, California The Krapital/Krapitol
Watch this video on another device in its entirety. I wanted to say thank you so much for making this video. I am considering purchasing and also you answered many questions that will help me help my son and his father with their setup. There is many things that was not explained to them and we are learning. Even though may have been lengthy I’m glad it was very detailed because I learned quite a bit. I recommend video to all people who have already purchased and also those considering to purchase. Thank you again and have fun travels
Great video! I enjoy seeing how you do things – it’s great to see your process. Really like the methodical approach, definitely how you keep from making stupid mistakes!
Your checking is even more accurate then a flight check. Well, it´s different but your care is absolutely incredible. Material will last for a very long period because of the maintenance applied.
Thank you SO much. We just bought a 5th wheel and this video gave me so much insight into things I didn’t even think about. Checklist created and ready to ROLL!!!
I feel like I’m learning so much from your video’s before my husband and I get our 5th wheel
Awesome video, guys! <3 Thank you so much for taking the time to walk us "yet to be full-timers" through the process.
You two are awesome! We love your videos. Thank you for sharing your check list. We’ve used it to create our own version.
I can’t wait til I get my RV and start traveling and living on the road. You guys are amazing.
The best part is that you explain why you do things instead of just how. Good job. Thanks guys.
Just found your channel and can not stop watching. What a fantastic life style you have both choose. Adventure and luxury. Now this is ‘camping’.
Its called glamping….glamorous camping 🏕
Me too
Welcome to our channel! 😊
Been fulltiming for about 8 years now moving about every 3 months. You guys are pretty spot on and quite informative to newbies. Good job guys!!!
Omg, I watched this twice and fast forward 5 months to our camp breakdown in prep for the Quartszite Rally. We fill our fresh water tank and open the outside faucet (as one does) and you guessed it, we didnt close them. Off to boondock with Grand Design. So for 3 days we’ve been trying to figure out why we were only getting lukewarm water. We worked with the techs here and were getting ready to order a part tomorrow, thankfully the damn brain starts to work at 10 PM and this video comes back! Hubby googled, yep! Best hot shower ever!
LOL… That’s bitten us a few time! Glad you got your hot shower! 😎
This couple is amazing! Cant wait to one day live threw this experience.
Just discovered your channel and I really like the long form, detailed content. I’ll admit when I first saw that this video was 55 minutes, my short attention span self almost didn’t do it. I am really glad I did. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your life on the road.
LOL! Thanks for giving it a shot, Kenneth! We weren’t sure how it would come off, which is why we put the time indexes. Thanks for watching! 😊
You certainly have it down to a system. Great to see someone be thorough and careful with their equipment…makes it last lots longer and makes the journey more enjoyable! Thank you for sharing!
Love your videos! So glad I found y’all! You two are just so great. Your videos are super informational and I enjoy watching you. Thank you! We are doing our homework for full time rv living. We have two little. 4 and 16 months. We are about 6 months out from potential doing this. We love grand design and are still trying to figure out what would work best for us as we will have one in a crib.
At first I thought; “there’s no way I’m going to sit through 55 mins of this”……… I sat through all 55 mins!!! Great Video!!!
I love them
Yupper, what he said!
A REALLY great video, guys! You gave us all a warning of the length (and it shows the length, when cking the bar); but, hey, y’all covered a LOT of information (very thoroughly!). LOVE your idea of T-24, T-12 and T-0; really takes it in a logical order and reduces the amount of (possible) error/missing items. Really like the idea of having it on your smartphone; don’t have to carry around an Excel-type manual checklist. I appreciate the effort y’all have made to create and produce this video; you’ve helped a LOT of people, regardless of experience. The checklist should reduce the number of missed items; one can be easily distracted, when setting-up/breaking down at the campsite (regardless of location). Thanks, again. Be Safe!
Thanks, Raymond! And thanks for watching! 😊
Excellent information! You’ve definitely have shown why the check list(s) is SO important. Thanks for putting all that time into this video. You guys have done a great job.
Thanks for watching! And YES…. Never get in too much of a hurry that you skip the checklists…. That’s when bad things happen. 🙂
